Unique ethnographic scientific project, called «Searching for a healthy man»Sport, traveling and health — nothing from this list is alien to Gurtam, which, following its Wialon software solutions, travels around the world and participates in a great variety of different projects.

This time the news came from Russia, where Gurtam partner Geolid-Centre took part in a unique ethnographic scientific project, called «Searching for a healthy man», dedicated to evaluation and analyzing of people’s health.

The initiative came from independent laboratory Invitro — the largest Russian private laboratory diagnostics company. The project presupposes visiting 12 Ural region cities: Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Tagil, Perm, Izhevsk, Naberezhnye Chelny, Ufa, Orenburg, Orsk, Magnitogorsk, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan, Tyumen. The main target, set by the organizers of this unique expedition, was to examine the health condition of the population with modern laboratory diagnostics methods, as well as early prevention of the most common diseases.

The project has started on July 1 and will continue till July 15. During this time the participants will cover a rather long distance in five thousand kilometers, performing different types of tasks, prepared by the organizers specifically for this project, but the main thing — they will stop in the cities along their route, talk to local residents, make art-installations concerning health, collect samples and evaluate health condition of the population on the basis of biochemistry blood tests:

  • Glucose
  • Triglycerides
  • Cholesterol total
  • HDL Cholesterol
  • Cholesterol LDL
  • TSH and Т4
  • Metabolic syndrome detection

Special focus was put on health communication with the population and prevention of various diseases.

The expedition was open to everybody, and today it has around forty participants. The project attracted famous Russian bloggers, journalists and Invitro laboratory specialists.

The results of the expedition will be defined on the basis of blood tests, performed in Invitro laboratories and will become available right after the end of the project. And right now you can follow up the participants movements, latest news and impressions at the official website of the project.
