Less than a week ago our international partners visited Belarus to participate in Gurtam Partner Conference which was held in Minsk office on June 9-10. Before we highlight the results of the meeting, we’d like to thank each and every partner who took time to come to our conference and made this event undoubtedly valuable.
More than 100 partners from all over the world covered about 400 000 miles, 10 times around the globe, just to meet our team. Believe it or not, but the most popular question at Minsk airport border control was “are you going to this Telematics conference? “ What Gurtam can be really proud of is its large and friendly telematics community!
The first conference day started with presentations by Gurtam team members. Aliaksandr Kuushynau, International Sales Director, and Volha Smirnova, CMO, told about the company structure, announced the TOP-10 fast growing Gurtam partners and shared the goals for 2016. Their report was followed by a speech of Gurtam technical support and Training and Certification departments representatives explaining the intricacies of their work and shared some tips on tech support performance arrangement. Also, we couldn’t go without telling the community about recent and forthcoming Wialon developments which were highlighted by Gurtam Solutions department members.
And that was only the beginning! After the lunch our integrators presented several of their deployment cases, talked about their experiences, needs, and obstacles in deploying complete telematics solutions. Hamed Kazemi from GGRCO, Iran, presented the Wialon-based mission management tool, Adam Černý from NAM System, Czech Republic, introduced a machinery utilization app, Jorge Valladares from Ares Sun, Honduras, demonstrated a fuel control module allowing for comparing the volume of fuel dispensed and filled for different units and groups as well as presented the Wialon Eco Driving-based driving habits evaluation tool.
Magenta Technology, UK and Kloudip, Sri Lanka demonstrated their tools for logistics and smart dispatching while Milan Suletic from Monitoring NET, Serbia came out with the curse of integrators and the ways to solve their typical problems by effective business processes automation. Our partner from Indonesia, Phoenix Solusi, shared experience on Wialon utilization for fleet management in Shell company which was an excellent, thought provoking success case.
The official part of the first conference day was finished with the presentation by Siarhei Kliauko, who reported a story of Gurtam Operator evolution, telling about ups and downs the company went through during its growth. We hope the presentation inspired you and brought the ideas on how to apply that experience to your business.
On the second conference day the community was joined by numerous hardware manufacturers – Teltonika, Ruptela, ATrack, Meitrack, Galileo Sky, Orbcomm, Falcom, BCE, etc. – therefore it was massively focused on the hardware topics as an essential part of our partners’ businesses. The representatives from Gurtam hardware department explained the functions of hardware team, new devices integration processes as well as ways of efficient cooperation with manufacturers.
During several panel discussions the hardware manufacturers had an opportunity to show their expertise in fuel management, specialized and asset tracking, Tachograph/ELD integrations, OBD II standard, CAN-data readers, etc. and propose their best solutions for specific business purposes.
Connectivity is certainly another big and important topic for us and we were happy the MVNO representative, Amy Garcia Rendle from PodSystem, was able to join us and offer her insight and expertise through informative and lively interview with Sergei Leuchanka, Gurtam Managing Director, USA. Amy presented as an expert on multi-network data SIMs and discussed the importance of choosing connectivity wisely.
We also cannot help but mention Sergei’s presentation “Wialon – Beyond Vehicle Tracking” on unusual but prospective Wialon applications – high value shipments, offender tracking and front-door marketing – which was quite a success and aroused the interest of the audience.
After the official conference part we were having a cool party in the authentic restaurant near Minsk where our international guests were taught Belarusian dances, tried our national food and simply had a lot of fun. Anyway pictures can tell a bit more than words, so look back at those bright moments at our Facebook photo album.
We hope all of you have enjoyed a home-like atmosphere of the event. Thank you for your positive feedback and a lot of kind words which inspired to work better for you!
