The first month of the summer 2015 is coming to an end. Unfortunately sometimes it was rainy, unlike the atmosphere in Gurtam where the sunny mood has constantly been with us. The recipe for happiness is quite simple: you need to take a professional holiday, add a little bit of corporate party, sweeten it with young children and to mix, adding a bit of innovative ideas.
Last week, Gurtam participated in Expo Seguridad Mexico 2015, the largest exhibition of Industrial Safety, Occupational Health and Security in Mexico and Latin America. Everyone who has an avid interest in the industry, combined with an adventurous spirit undeterred by Mexico city´s frightening traffic jams, was there.
According to the headline, it might appear to you that the discussion will be held about “Gurtam flag trip”, well-known amongst Wialon user communities. However, today the discussion is dedicated to various international telematics events that are worth visiting in 2015.
Each year Gurtam visits numerous exhibitions and conferences that gradually widen its horizons and 2014 was no exception.
On this note, we ask our partners and market players to share upcoming plans for the year of 2015. The discussions are welcome in Gurtam forum. Speaking about our plans for 2015, Gurtam is going to visit Germany, Russia, UAE and Mexico. The list is not complete yet. Who knows, where we’ll go further, because the choice is really great today.
A lot has been already said about Gurtam annual partner conference. I guess it’s high time to tell you about the second but no less important event that took place during those three remarkable November days — GPS and GLONASS hardware exhibition.
This time the expo gathered 20 companies:
Building a Smart System that would do the hard work for the auto insurers has grown out of a sole ambition, with some of the telematic players scoring really high on this market.
Compared to the progress of UBI in countries like Italy, UK and the US, Russia is yet making the timid steps towards it. Therefore, as a trendsetter and technology leader, Gurtam has decided to not stay apart.
Yesterday, together with over 100+ TSPs, hardware providers and insurance groups, Aliaksei Shchurko, Gurtam CEO, spoke at the 3rd International Conference on Smart Insurance held for the 2nd time this year.
Less than a week ago, November 19-22, many Gurtam partners from different places all over the world visited Belarus and took part in the annual partner meeting Telematics 2014. Minsk. Gurtam conference today went far from a private event meant for a particular group of Wialon dealers and became a large international telematics playground for discussing key market trends.
Numbers speak louder than words. So, this year Telematics audience consisted of 160 partners, experts and GPS hardware manufacturers, who showcased their latest developments during two working days and presented all the advantages of different hardware to the numerous people involved. And by the way, the audience was huge and highly professional, because you won’t ever meet come-and-go people among Gurtam guests.
This year conference became not only a large-scale event, but also changed its usual format, presupposing consecutive presentations by Gurtam team members. Therefore, Telematics 2014. Minsk was more about networking in its very best sense. That’s why again I’d like to say thanks to all our partners and colleagues, who made this conference really unforgettable and extremely useful in terms of getting the full vision of modern telematics market. Thank you for your brilliant thoughts, fresh ideas and enthusiasm.
Whatever you may say, but 21st century life is exciting. Having breakfast in gloomy autumn Minsk, the evening we spent swimming in the warmest waters of the Arabian gulf, strolling along the modern metropolis, wining and dining at a wonderful restaurant with delicious Arabic cuisine.
When you hear Dubai, you automatically imagine a fairytale city with astonishing skyscrapers in the center of wild desert, manmade islands, reminding the pattern of an Oriental carpet, noble Arabic men in white and mysterious women in black. And you’ll never forget Burj Khalifa — the tallest building in the world.
Today is October 22 and it means that Telematics 2014. Minsk gets started in a month. Moreover, it means that you have just a little time left to send us your applications. Therefore, those, who haven’t decided yet, please, do it till October 31 (our Halloween deadline).
Those, who have already made up their minds, will be glad to hear the latest news. It’s not a secret that Gurtam partner conference has already gained the status of a large international telematics playground and the center of “telematics force”=). This year we’re waiting for even more guests from all over the world. I won’t tell you the exact numbers and the routes of our partners, coming to the event, because I’m pretty sure that the list of participants will increase.
Just close your eyes and for a few seconds imagine the city of museums and ancient cathedrals, street musicians and famous wire balls on lightpoles, incompatible architectural styles and forsaken buildings, covered with fabulous graffiti pieces. The city of paradoxes and contrasts with its unique unforgettable atmosphere, having nothing to do with old school ceremonious Europe.
Here in Bucharest in October 2014 Telematics Conference SEEurope found its place, after a four-year trip through Serbia in 2011, than Slovenia and Croatia. Last year while visiting M2Mission Possible in Beograd so many people mentioned this tremendously important telematics event for South Eastern Europe that Gurtam team, led by its CEO Aliaksei Shchurko, couldn’t help coming here and communicating with numerous all-European market experts, learning new trends and business-models successfully implemented by partners and competitors.
Powered by CTIA, Super Mobility Week 2014 has now become one of the largest platforms for mobile innovation, merging the 2 shows — CTIA Wireless and MobileCon — into one. This scenario, however, pulled together a bunch of diverse organizations and partnered events leading Wialon up the path to Vegas.
“What happens in Vegas – stays in Vegas” a well-worn signboard of almost every club in Vegas, luring the visitors into the vicious lights of casinos, hotels and chilling marguerittas. This year at CTIA’s Super Mobility Week, however, the popular motto took on a new significance. Gurtam team, joined by the representatives of its Boston office, not only stayed focused till the rest of the show, but also made the whole event a success keeping us curious about the results, which are yet to be discovered.
